About Valencia Coverings

Valencia Coverings was born as a result of the effort to bring new concepts into the United States market by Richard Sampedro, founder and visionary. Initially, Sampedro had an idea of bringing into the United States his own appreciation for design. He began with a dream and later made it a reality when Valencia Coverings opened its first store in Miami Lakes, Florida under the name of Valencia Clay Tiles. In 2001, when the first store was opened, Valencia Clay Tiles solely distributed clay products and fiber glass panels. The early products consisted of terracotta tiles and ceramics. Subsequently, in 2002, Valencia Clay Tiles became known as Valencia Coverings which included a wider variety of products. Presently, Valencia Coverings has become noticed by designers and leading experts in the field since it offers unique selections which provide unusual architectonic features to contemporary spaces.
